THE SESSION PAGES - Stories, Songs & Pictures from Larry's Studio Sessions

Charlie Louvin is a very kind and gracious man unless you are talking about banjos, which happens to be his least favorite instrument. He says the definition of a gentleman is "some one that can play the banjo but don't". He has many friends that play the banjo and says he likes banjo players he just does not like the banjo. One thing is for sure, he still likes singing and touring and at 78, I do not think he has slowed down much at all. Have you ever stopped to think about how long these legendary country singers live?
I am hoping that by singing a duet with some of them it will add a few years to my life, and if nothing else at least some special memories.
