THE SESSION PAGES - Stories, Songs & Pictures from Larry's Studio Sessions

"I normally did this song in the key of 'C' but I had a real bad cold that week and had to drop it down to 'A'.  I just could not reach those high notes."

We had already been recording on the album for a couple of days when this session started. I got a phone call from Delbert at the studio asking me what I was doing and why I hadn't ask him to play on the album. He had heard we were doing the album and wanted to be a part of it. I said that I would be honored to have him on the album and that I did not ask because I really did not think he would say yes. He came every day and played some on the whole album. On this particular session, he played harmonica and sang the harmony with me. It just does not get any better than Delbert.
